EQECAT Hires RMS Software Architect

catastrophe modeling firm EQECAT
has hired
Marian
Szefler as
senior vice president of software architecture
where he will be responsible for the firm’s
"overall re-architecture project," according to a
company statement.
"Marian’s 20-plus years of international experience in management of software development will be a tremendous asset to EQECAT," said Richard Clinton EQECAT president. "He will play a critical role in crafting our strategy as we broaden our product offerings."
Szefler joins EQECAT from Risk Management Solutions (RMS) where he acted as senior vice president of software development.
The position at RMS has been restructured into another role and Szefler’s responsibilities have been taken over by Philippe Stephan, RMS’ chief technology officer, according to a firm spokesperson.
