Catastrophic Landslides

When one thinks of natural disasters usually hurricanes, earthquakes and typhoons come to mind. What these three separate events have in common, however, is that they are often followed by an equally destructive event: a landslide.

This issue of the Risky Science Podcast is a discussion with Professor David Petley, an expert in the area if landslide science. He is the Wilson Chair in Hazard and Risk in the Department of Geography at Durham University and director of the International Landslide Centre.
