McConachie Out From Third Point Re Board

Neil McConachie has resigned as a director of Dan Loeb’s Third Point Reinsurance two years after joining the hedge fund-backed reinsurer’s board, according to regulatory filings released Friday. 

McConachie handed in his resignation to Third Point on July 1 with immediate effect, according to the filing.

McConachie is long-time reinsurance executive, having joined Third Point’s board following his resignation from Bermuda-based Fidelis Insurance where he was co-founder and group CFO. 

Prior to Fidelis, McConachie held leadership positions at  Lancashire Group, Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. and Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd.
